The Athletics Department of Good Shepherd Academy provides a safe sports environment that serves as an extension of the school’s academic and religious curriculum. Participants will learn the fundamentals of each sport with an emphasis on teamwork, good sportsmanship, fair play and team spirit as they develop strong, healthy and disciplined minds and bodies.

We are members of the Archdiocese of Newark CYO Athletic Leagues that are governed, run and coordinated by the Archdiocese of Newark Office for Youth & Young Adult Ministry (OYYAM).   We currently offer girls volleyball (5-8), girls and boys basketball (3-8), girls and boys track and field (K-8) and softball (5-8). Additional sports to be introduced this school year are soccer, boys volleyball, baseball, and lacrosse.
