|Protecting God's Children|
Archdiocese of Newark requires all parent volunteers (class parents, coaches, etc.) to complete the Protecting God's Children Program.
Please complete the steps in the following order:
1. Anyone wishing to volunteer or seek employment must complete an application. The form is listed below. Please print, fill out and submit to GSA Main Office. This form also authorizes the background check. Applicant must also read and sign a Code of Conduct Agreement. In addition, a 3-hour training must be completed online or at a training site listed on www.virtus.org. Click here to register online
2. Upon successful completion of PGC Program, a certificate will be provided that will remain effective for 3 years.
3. After 3 years, recertification requires ongoing training. Visit www.virtus.org to recertify. Applicant must have a valid e-mail address in order to receive updates to online training modules provided.
Note: Once you've attended, please forward a copy of your certificate of participation to the GSA office.
